Developmental Evaluation
The Developmental Evaluation Clinic (DEC) at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital has a team of developmental specialists who identify children at risk for developmental delays. We monitor and evaluate your child's development and create a plan that meets both your child's and the family's needs.
Our specialists will connect you to the appropriate medical services (including rehabilitative therapy or behavioral health services), as well as social or financial advocacy resources. We also refer to community-based early intervention programs such as Infants and Toddlers and Child Find.
Who We Serve
We see infants up to 3 years old at our Capital Region site and infants up to 4 years old at our Rogers Avenue site. We can see older children at either location on a case-by-case basis.
We see children:
- Who are NICU/PICU graduates
- With minimal/delayed language skills
- With minimal/delayed gross or fine motor skills

- Who are considered at risk for developmental delays related to prematurity, medical challenges, neurological disorders and/or in utero exposure to substances
