The primary objective of occupational therapy at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is to improving all performance components of activities of daily living.

The overall goal of physical therapy is to maximize each patient’s participation in their family, school and recreation activities and routines. 

Aquatic therapy at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital or our Harford County location, uses water and its properties to perform therapeutic exercise and treatment.

Child Life and Therapeutic Recreation Specialists at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital focus on the psychosocial, developmental and educational needs of children and promote normal childhood growth and development.

Our team of rehabilitation clinicians develop individual goals for your child to plan for their intensive therapy programming. The child participates in multiple individually planned sessions five days a week for 3 weeks.

Dry Needling is a specialty strategy provided by certified therapists to specifically address pain and muscle mobility. 

The Schroth Method is a treatment strategy for individuals with scoliosis. It focuses on specific postural exercises and corrective breathing techniques to target the individual needs of the patient.

Scoliosis is a medical condition with an abnormal curve of the spine and is followed by orthopedists. Referrals may be made to physical therapists at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital for exercise management.

The Therasuit® Method is a soft supportive wearable orthotic suit with a series of hooks and elastic cords that the child wears during specific therapy sessions.
