Intensive Rehabilitation Day Program
Our team of rehabilitation clinicians develop individual goals for your child to plan for their intensive therapy programming. The child participates in multiple individually planned sessions five days a week for 3 weeks. Therapists see your child in the specialized spaces at MWPH and may use equipment like the Universal Exercise Unit (spider cage), Therasuit Method, Vector, Neurocom, and/or Bioness Integrated Therapy System. Our therapists are trained to use specific strategies including dynamic movement intervention (DMI) or constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT). Programming is supported by our Child Life and Therapeutic Recreation team and facility dogs. There are opportunities to attend community outings to support therapeutic goals and positively impact function in the community.
